Growth drawn through line

This Tree of Life is built less through colour and more through repetition.

Flower after flower gathers around branching forms until the canopy becomes almost architectural.

The natural palm leaf remains visible throughout the centre, allowing the engraved lines to carry most of the image.

That restraint gives the work a quieter character.

The tree can be read through ideas of:

growth, continuity, renewal and rootedness.

For Indie Kaarigari, the material adds another layer.

Palm leaf once carried writing, manuscripts and illustrated stories. Here, the leaf itself becomes the surface on which another idea of continuity is engraved.

The story is not placed over the material.
It grows through it.
