Shiva and Parvati in movement

This composition presents Shiva and Parvati not as distant, static figures, but as a divine pair caught in movement.

Their gestures turn toward one another while the tree, animals and surrounding ornament make the scene feel alive.

Rather than assigning the artwork to one specific episode, we read it through the larger relationship Shiva and Parvati represent:

asceticism and domesticity • stillness and energy • Shiva and Shakti

Palm leaf gives that relationship another material language.

The scene is first built through engraved line, then natural pigment brings the figures and landscape forward.

Leaf carries the surface.
Line carries the movement.
Pigment carries the presence.
